Glennmont Partners is a Private Equity fund that invests in European renewable energy assets. The Company has become part of Nuveen, a leading global investment manager with over $1 trillion of assets under management, in early 2021.Glennmont has invested circa €1.8bn in onshore and offshore wind, photovoltaic and bioenergy power generation assets.
The company’s core teams focus on clean energy equity investments, credit investments, and asset & portfolio management. Glennmont Partners is expanding, currently preparing other products for market launch in 2022. The team comprises approximately 50 professionals evenly split between the investment team and the asset management team.
Glennmont is looking for internships covering the following areas:
• Equity investment
• Credit investment
• Asset management
Expected start date: Summer 2022
Expected internship duration: minimum of 6 months and additional opportunity to extend
The internship offers a competitive compensation package.
Key Responsibilities:
Production and review of financial valuation models for renewable energy assets
Develop internal tools to assist the investment team to manage origination and deal execution
Support the drafting of investment proposals with support and input from Associates and Investment Mangers
Support with the drafting of internal business plan presentations
Support fund raising activities such as production of marketing materials, compilation of Investor materials, miscellaneous activities associated with business development
Support in preparing presentations and internal investment/divestment documentation
Knowledge & Skills
Candidates must be competent to build and operate detailed financial models.
Significant financial modelling experience required Microsoft excel, word and power point skills
Financial service background gained in investment banks, Big 4 accounting firms, energy infrastructure funds, private equity funds, energy utility
Fluent English language skills required; additional European languages preferred.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
A strong academic background appropriate for the role.
Other Information
Interest in the renewable energy sub-space is a prerequisite
Experience in management accounting, analytical accounting, investment review, financial analysis
Sound and solid financial toolkit (structuring deals, building models, analysing financial statements, performing valuations).
A strategic approach, sound business judgment and a strong entrepreneurial mind-set.
This role requires no regulatory designation.
