CDR’s internship offers participants the opportunity to work with a diverse and specialist team of communications consultants, gaining experience across a range of sectors and communications disciplines including Financial & Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, Digital and ESG.
Following the internship, CDR would like to offer the most suitable candidates an Account Executive role starting in September 2023. We would like the internship to be a key source of talent for us.
An Intern will be mentored by a dedicated Talent Manager. They will also have a buddy assigned to help with whatever questions they have.
We look for intellectually ambitious, creative, and enthusiastic individuals from a range of academic backgrounds with a deep interest in current affairs and the media landscape. Candidates must have strong academic credentials, demonstrate excellent research and written skills and meticulous attention to detail. They should also be pro-active, self-motivated and thrive when working as part of a team.
We are currently seeking internship applications from penultimate year students. Candidates must be available to work for six weeks during July and August 2022.
A laptop will be provided, and we will cover any mobile phone costs for the duration of the internship. We will consider providing travel costs on a case by case basis.
Overview
Some examples of day-to-day work during the CDR internship includes:
Screening and monitoring daily press comment and media intelligence on specific clients and their peers, as well as new business targets
Conducting media and investor research and analysis to support client teams
Researching new business and marketing opportunities, including the sourcing of relevant media intelligence, data, analyst research and their interpretation and synthesis
We will give each intern participant a research project to deliver during their time with CDR. A short presentation summarising the findings will be presented to their Talent Manager and another Director at CDR
Involvement in planning and logistics of CDR and client events
Screening events, awards and speaker opportunities for clients; highlighting and coordinating opportunities
Supporting Account Executives to manage social and digital media channels on behalf of CDR and its clients
