You’ll get to join the Alternative Investments business area, working in the direct infrastructure investment team which invests in utilities, transport, energy, telecommunications and social infrastructure assets throughout Europe. You’ll support portfolio managers throughout the private market deal lifecycle from originating and executing transactions to active asset management. You’ll also get to work in both the equity and debt investing teams, giving you insight across the capital structure and an appreciation of different risk/reward profiles. The role will be based in London.
You’ll be working in the Direct Infrastructure team in London. We are dedicated team providing acquisition, asset management and portfolio management expertise for our clients. As a professional fiduciary, we identify, acquire and manage equity and debt investments in infrastructure assets varying in size from $50 million to over $300 million. These assets are typically held through closed-end funds. We focus on raising funds, sourcing and executing transactions and managing assets held in funds.
To be considered for the 2022 Off-Cycle Analyst, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• currently enrolled as a bachelor or master student (on track for a 2:1 or equivalent)
• interest in infrastructure, telecommunications and / or power, utilities and renewables
• strong analytical and numerical skills
• results-driven and team player who can manage a wide range of responsibilities
• excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills
• can-do attitude when tackling daily tasks
• European languages are considered a substantial advantage
On this 6-12 month internship, you’ll get to join our REPM Infrastructure team within UBS Asset Management. You’ll still be working toward your university degree course while getting the opportunity to be a real part of the team, working with our experts and learning about the industry, our clients, our firm and a specific area of it. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts. And if you impress us, your placement may result in a full time graduate position.
