We are looking for passionate and motivated students who are interested in pursuing a career in Procurement or Finance to join our team! This program is a paid, 3 month summer internship.
As an intern we want you to truly be part of the team and to make a meaningful contribution during your time on the team. Our internships are designed to involve you with hands-on project work from day one, you will face new challenges every day and work alongside career professionals. We want you to gain a better understanding of the professional field you aspire to work in, through learning experiences, and gain skills to ensure a successful transition there.
FT Procurement is responsible for acquiring corporate goods and services from external sources on behalf of the FT Group. The department manages the end to end process to ensure goods and services provide best value for money when taking account of business requirements, quality standards, volumes, timescales, locations, risks and other factors. Goods and service types procured include: Technology, Facilities, Data, Distribution, Editorial, Marketing, Advertising, HR, Professional Services, Property and Travel. The department works across all FT business functions and geographies.
As an intern you will be working with and supporting the Procurement team with a range of sourcing activities which will include supporting with RFP processes, the contract renewal process as well as ensuring supplier and contract information is all kept up to date and running reports for the team. You will be joining us at an exciting time during which we will be implementing a new Procurement System (Coupa) and the intern would be working with the team on the launch of the new system.

How we work
Our hybrid setup means staff are expected to come into the office 2 days a week on average. We operate flexibly and thus this 2 day a week figure should be taken as a general ratio of the time you will spend in the office.
Our office is located across the street from St. Paul’s Cathedral and is easily accessible from all corners of London. There are the main train terminals such as Liverpool Street, Moorgate, Blackfriars, City Thameslink or Waterloo all situated within walking distance or there are several tube stations within a few mins walk such as Mansion House (District or Circle line), St. Paul’s (Central line), Bank (Central or Waterloo & City line) or Barbican (Central, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan lines).
