Program Overview: Fitch Ratings has an exciting 10-week rotational internship program designed for students in their penultimate year of study to experience first-hand what we do at Fitch, what credit ratings are, and why we are so important in the global market. You will learn the ethical and procedural responsibilities of being a team member and be exposed to broad credit and market research training through on-the-job opportunities. You will complete rotations across two different divisions to understand the variety of work involved and the outcomes and impacts our ratings have on the global markets. Throughout the programme you will participate in a variety of on-the-job learning activities. You will work on special projects during which you will have the opportunity to discuss, debate, compose and contribute to the important work of your assigned teams. Structured Finance: We are committed to bringing our legacy of transparency and openness to bear in all areas of the structured finance market. We have developed new investor-focused surveillance tools and enhanced our existing offerings to ensure that a security’s risk is clearly identified and that our opinions continue to be objective and forward-looking. In the complex field of global securitisation, Fitch Ratings explores every angle of a transaction so that investors have the additional insight and context necessary to make timely and informed business decisions. Corporates: The group’s analytical methodology addresses the legal, regulatory and market environments in over 100 countries in which Fitch Ratings operates, with particular emphasis on debt structure. Corporates group analysts continually expand and deepen their research, combining industry expertise with the finest analytical tools to offer well-informed and timely judgments. Financial Institutions: Fitch’s financial institutions’ coverage includes not only banks, but also finance and leasing companies, securities firms and asset management organisations. In addition, the group supports dedicated teams for rating specialised securities such as covered bonds. Global Infrastructure Group: The portfolio includes public ratings and private credit opinions covering a variety of transaction types (project finance, corporate finance and structured finance). The assets include airports, toll roads, ports, rail infrastructure, power plants, oil and gas facilities, wind and solar parks, schools and hospitals. The team’s output consists mainly of annual surveillance reviews, new ratings and sector research reports which are published primarily through Fitch’s website.
