Job Description

Overall purpose of the role:

To provide consultative and support services to all business and support units on bank wide compliance requirements. To assist the Compliance Department by undertaking appropriate administrative duties necessary for compliance with local regulation and internal procedure

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Assisting in the coordination of the Certified, Conduct Rules and ancillary staff record, Staff Movements Spreadsheet, and HR Comply to compile relevant information for the FCA’s Directory, on an ad-hoc basis assisting in submitting data on Directory Individuals using the FCA’s Connect system
  • Monitor and record new joiners and transferees and arrange for new joiners to receive induction training. Identification of new short-term employees (<3months), completion of short-term employee induction process and maintenance of appropriate records. Providing ODEON Ethics Training face-to-face for new employees for PA Dealings, OBIs, and G&E
  • Maintain induction spreadsheet and record of paperwork associated.
  • Organise where appropriate regulatory training and exams for relevant new joiners. Management of study pack, course booking and CISI exam bookings for employees to be certified and maintaining the record for all CISI invoices.
  • Assist in the coordination of the certification process and updating the Certified, Conduct Rules and ancillary staff record, including compiling information and updating HR Comply.
  • Organisation and maintenance of staff training record for Face-to-Face and e-learning compliance trainings and Compliance staff training record seminars etc.
  • Maintenance of PA Dealings record in Odeon Ethics, contract notes and associated paperwork
  • Maintenance of Gifts and Entertainment record and associated paperwork, including a monthly monitoring of G&E reports from Net Decision and Concur, and reporting to ExCo as appropriate.
  • Maintenance of the Compliance page on the Intranet

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience of FCA regulatory regime preferable
    • Knowledge of an investment bank’s activities and products
    • Microsoft Office technology and internal IT systems specific to Central Compliance Personable and able to liaise with all levels of seniority
    • Qualities: organised, methodical, and flexible.
    • Ability to investigate perceived or actual problems.
    • Good written skills and report writing
