About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking talent to join the 2022 EMEA University Programme.

Program Overview:

For our Markets Programme, participants are exposed to the different financial markets teams that are critical to the success of Corporate & Investment Banking. This program combines on-the-job experience with formal development actions with a focus on Financial Markets activities.

The Corporate Debt Finance Group sits within the Asset Backed Finance division of Wells Fargo Securities. Corporate Debt Finance provides capital to asset managers and other non-bank financial institutions through structured credit facilities and acts as underwriter on collateralized loan obligations. The main function of this position is to originate, execute and perform surveillance of credit facilities and CLO transactions managed by the Corporate Debt Finance group. The job requires active involvement in all aspects of the deal process (e.g. underwriting, servicing, and closing), which requires working directly with clients and internal stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.

In this role, you will:

  • Supporting EMEA Corporate Debt Finance (“CDF”) team in the origination of credit facilities in Europe (backed by pools of leverage loans), as well as Collateralised Loan Obligation (“CLO”) underwriting and execution
  • Assisting with deal underwriting and execution through the creation of credit memos, preparation of borrowing bases, and coordination with support teams for both credit facilities and CLOs
  • The role also involves surveillance, portfolio management and day-to-day monitoring of existing credit facilities, as well as the preparation of internal and external marketing materials
  • Implement best practices to our European business and keep US colleagues informed about market/industry trends in Europe

Required Qualifications, International:

  • Experience in Development Programs, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Be a final year undergraduate / graduate student of any degree discipline
  • Have the relevant rights to work in the country you have applied for
  • Be available to work full time throughout Sept 2022 – Sept 2024
  • Have good interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Fluency in English and an additional language is a plus
  • Have a keen interest in Financial Markets
