Job summary


In a dynamic and international environment, you will participate in the control and support functions of the operations initiated by Middle Office.

You will develop various skills: knowledge of financial products such as Interest Rate Swaps, Bonds etc.



Key Responsibilities – Rates

The role of the summer intern will be to support the Rates Middle Office team in the following activities:

  • To ensure the proper booking of the transactions.
  • To contribute to the development of a reliable and effective first level of control function for the dedicated perimeter.
  • To participate in various projects related to client business development, to optimize secure transactions and provide control of risks.

For compliance and confidentiality issues some tasks may not be performed by you.

Key Responsibilities – Credit


o   Trade validation in FO systems (1st level of control)

o   CDS & Indices: Control of New Trades and Unwinds booking plus follow up

o   Swaps: Control of New Trades and Unwinds booking plus follow up


o   Failed and alleged trades monitoring

o   Funding/re-financing: calculation and booking in FO systems

o   Syndication fees follow-up

Credit & Succession Events:

o   Bank-wide management of Credit and Succession Events: responsibility of managing and prioritisation of all requests and questions pertaining to Credit Events in a timely manner.

o   Booking, FO communication, validation and materialising the P&L impact.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and summer internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy.

Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.
