Department Overview

The Electronic Client Connectivity team operates within the Global Markets Sales Division. Electronic business provides continuous market transparency to all client segments and optimises their execution costs. It frees up time for Sales to understand better client needs and to target larger voice transactions and also answer regulatory and market requirements as electronification increases competition and transparency for clients, which are two pillars of the European regulation.

The role will be based in London.

Summary

  • The Global Electronic Client Connectivity encompasses three teams:
    o   The eOnboarding team, in charge of client administration and the implementation of risk controls from a first line of defence viewpoint;
    o   The eSales team: a specialised, strategy and product-driven team, supporting the bank’s distribution strategy in its electronic dimension;
    o  Algorithmic trading coordination function, in charge of regulatory governance and strategy as well as quality assurance
  • Products are distributed on electronic platforms across all asset classes (Cash Bonds, Interest Rates and Foreign Exchange). In the team, the candidate will get a sound exposure to our activities and will have the opportunity to better understand capital markets and the importance of electronic distribution.
  • This experience will provide the candidate with a good insight of capital markets business, focusing on the eBusiness setup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Global Head of Electronic Client Connectivity on a range of transversal topics related to client management and follow-up, performance monitoring or regulatory-driven needs, in coordination with other team members
  • Help the global eSales and eOnboarding teams on ad hoc reporting projects benefitting Sales and Trading teams:

o  Contributing to the optimisation of the client mapping process (automation, additional functionalities etc.)

o  Improving our reporting capabilities in terms of performance statistics, to better monitor and steer our business

o   Additional projects may include communication initiatives as well as initiatives to boost productivity in coordination with Sales teams

  • The candidate will also be exposed to algorithmic trading activities (governance, monitoring, projects) as the Global Head of Electronic Connectivity acts as Algo Trading Officer.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.
