We’re seeking an Intern, Credit Investments, to partner with key stakeholders and peers to support and engage with our powerful networks of people, opportunities, and investments. ABOUT THE TEAM

PSP’s Credit Investments (CI) group currently manages a global portfolio of $14.5 billion, with plans to grow our asset base. The team includes thirty investment professionals across our New York, London and Montreal offices. Our CI group is known to be a reliable, creative and user-friendly provider of financing solutions across a wide range of industries. CI invests in both broadly syndicated and private transactions and has the flexibility to price risk on a continuum across products, including 1st and 2nd lien term loans, unitranches, unsecured term loans, private or public high yield bonds, holdco notes and preferred equity. CI works within our “One PSP” culture across asset classes to optimize relationships and investments.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As an Intern, Credit Investments you’ll:

    • Provide support to the credit investment teams during all phases of the investment and lending process
    • Help with investment screening (preparation and presentation), financial modelling and accounting analysis, industry and sector analysis (qualitative and quantitative), transaction due diligence
    • Be given the opportunity to participate in investment decision process, preparation of investment recommendation memos and post-lending portfolio monitoring
    • Support in monitoring the financial markets
    • May be asked to participate in special projects during your internship

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

    • Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program
    • Investment and financial statements experience an asset
    • High academic achievement
    • Intermediate to advanced ability with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
    • Fluent English (Spoken and written)
    • Ability to navigate a fast-pace environment with a high level of autonomy
    • Effective communications skills, both written and spoken.
    • Demonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive, fact-based, value-added research
    • Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentation
    • Ability to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients
    • Drive to pursue excellence and challenge the status quo to seek out alternative perspectives
    • A respect for differences of opinion and an inclusive mindset
