We’re looking for an Editorial Intern (FTC) to join our team in London (or Homebased UK) as part of our Content function.

WARC is looking for an intern to join our UK editorial team for the summer of 2021. This position will learn about the marketing and advertising landscape, with a focus on content production, working with WARC’s editorial and marketing teams.

This is a 12-week paid internship. Start date in July, subject to the candidate’s academic calendar.




Key Responsibilities

Content production and indexing

  • Learning the content production process, assisting the WARC production team with processing case studies of some of the best marketing and advertising campaigns in the industry. This will involve proofreading case studies and writing summaries that will be published on warc.com
  • Learning the content indexing process, assisting the WARC indexing team with projects including building new DEI tags into our CMS

Research and rankings

  • Work with WARC’s Research team on the research that goes into our annual rankings of the world’s best campaigns for creativity, media and effectiveness
  • Get to know the best campaigns in the world in-depth, and assist with categorising them into longer-term creative ideas as part of WARC’s ongoing ‘Health of creativity’ research
  • Learn the advertising agency ecosystem, assisting the team in keeping our agency and brand databases up to date


  • Be knowledgeable about WARC content, keeping abreast of content substance so that you can talk with understanding about what is new and interesting – use WARC like a living textbook
  • Attending interviews and meetings with the editorial team to learn more about the journalistic-side of marketing
  • Learning about key marketing themes, thought leadership and connecting with the top advertising agencies, brands and media owners

This is a great opportunity for the candidate to build their knowledge of the industry, get close to the best marketing work in the world, and get a behind the scenes look at both how awards schemes are run, and the content publishing process.



Your Experience

  • A keen interest in learning about the marketing industry and a curious mindset
  • Coursework related to marketing/advertising/journalism/communications/business
  • Possess strong writing and communication skills, and be computer literate
  • Ability to take direction and multi-task
