Our Corporate Finance business in Europe has expanded rapidly in recent years and now includes more than 175 bankers. Our European headquarters are in London with further offices in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Madrid and Milan. We currently offer advisory services within mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, and private funds.

Capital Markets
Our Capital Markets Group operates within Corporate Finance and is one of the firm’s fastest growing practices. As trusted advisors, we have the proven ability to engineer and execute financing solutions that are essential for growth and success. We offer access to financing in the public and alternative capital markets through the issuance of debt, equity, or hybrid securities.

Our team is comprised of nearly 50 professionals globally and provides clients with independent solutions free from conflicts of interest arising from credit extensions or proprietary investments. This dedicated team of financial professionals handles large, complex engagements and all aspects of capital raising to help maximize its clients’ financial flexibility over the long term. Thanks to our extensive relationships with alternative capital providers, we have the unique ability to raise customized capital for those situations where the public markets do not offer an attractive solution.

In Europe, the team is a rapidly growing team, advising clients on the origination, structuring, and execution of private and public debt financings across numerous industries. Scope
Graduate Financial Analysts may work on transactions that provide exposure to a broad range of client industries and investment banking services. You will work with a talented, dedicated staff of professionals who will give you broad exposure to the many different issues and concerns affecting companies and investors today.

You will research and analyse financial statements, general economic conditions, industry-specific developments, acquisitions and divestitures, and investment attributes of publicly traded and private companies. You will also gain intimate knowledge of capital raisings and financing structures.

Requirements / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Undergraduate degree with a minimum 2:1 pass grade from a highly regarded university
  • Some knowledge of or exposure to the financial services industry, either via relevant internships, academic coursework, or demonstrable industry knowledge
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail; An understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications
  • Knowledge of LBO and DCF modelling would be advantageous
  • Proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate independently but also work in a team with all levels of staff
  • Pro-active and performance-driven
  • Must be available from July 2021
