We are seeking to appoint a Trainee Business Analyst to join our Change Management team in London.

The Change Management team within Gallagher UK is responsible for delivering projects of different sizes & complexity for functions including Risk, Compliance, Financial Crime, Data, HR and Legal.

In this role, you will deliver an efficient, accurate service and conducting analysis that helps to develop solutions for projects.  Based on your analysis you will introduce changes to our processes and systems in a controlled and methodical way.

Your Role:

  • Recognise and understand the business problem and primary objectives of new projects.  Challenge the key business objectives and scope if you can prove alternative, more successful methods.
  • Build great relationships with key partners and working with them, use a variety of techniques and methodologies to elicit and endorse requirements
  • Create functional requirements, coordinate walk-through and sign-offs, ensure the models accurately match business needs.
  • Document needs in a manner that supports the efficient translation of these into solution / technical requirements by the Technology team
  • Plan, design and deliver the handover of business processes to the functional owner in a way that allows for continuous improvement.
  • Design and support the management of User Acceptance Testing, providing input into resolution of any fixes

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level with experience of business analysis gained either as part of your degree or during a year in industry or placement
  • Understanding of Agile and Lean methodologies and experience of finding opportunities for process and system improvements.
  • Knowledge of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK®) or other recognised business analysis guide is essential, as is a proficient knowledge of MS Office software including Visio, Excel, Word.
  • Understanding of requirements elicitation, fit/gap analysis and preparation of functional design documents.
  • Confidently manage and sustain  key relationship networks within a project environment. Excellent interpersonal skills, outstanding presentation of business and options analysis.
  • An ability to extract and piece together required learning from a broad range of different opportunities and sources. High attention to detail and comfortable handling large datasets
  • Experience of working in matrix teams across multiple offices, including third party suppliers. Both commercial and customer minded – able to perform analysis that delivers customer and outcome focussed solutions
  • Deadline driven, setting priorities in order to achieve time-bound outcomes. Good people skills, a creative problem-solver with an ambitious, can-do attitude.
  • Eligible to work in the UK with client site travel required from time to time
