This is a Summer internship starting later in 2021.

Jacobs across the UK is committed to early careers and in 2021 launched a new internship programme across the UK. This new programme is aimed towards undergraduates who are either currently studying for or have completed a principal degree and have a gap before starting a postgraduate course.

Jacobs Digital exists alongside this extensive portfolio of projects working with major clients across all sectors.  Digital is responsible for incubating, building and running new products and solutions for our customers – meaning you are joining a team of fast moving problem solvers working on varied and interesting challenges. Our products range from established software to nascent ideas sparking in to life; leveraging Lean Startup to rapidly invest and incubate new products.

Strategic Consulting work collaboratively across all market sectors and throughout the infrastructure lifecycle from strategy, financing and economic advice, business case and planning advice, through to capital and operational delivery improvements across our clients organisations. ​

We are a diverse team who apply a collaborative consulting approach. ​​​Our ability to provide real and robust, deliverable solutions and trusted advice leads to better, more certain outcomes and greater sustained value for our clients. Our Strategic Consulting Group are made up with Economics, Asset Management, Lean Consulting, Data Analytics teams.

As part of our Early Careers Programme we are offering a number of internships, each based in our London office. We want our interns to be next year’s graduates and our future leaders, so start your career with Jacobs this summer.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • On track for a MSc/MEng Merit or BEng/BSc 2:1
  • The desire and genuine interest to make a difference to the world around you
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to produce well-presented and accurate reports
  • Interest in new, digital ways of working, technologies and automation
  • Committed to work and capable of managing own tasks, costs and meeting deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
  • Good IT skills

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have: 

  • Interest and knowledge of the markets/sector we operate
  • Health and Safety training/awareness

You will join us in the summer period and join our community of interns under our programme called Jacobs Campus. This programme will allow you to work with a mentor who will work with you in identifying areas of learning so that when you leave you have a portfolio of learning experiences to refer to. There will also be opportunities to network through your community and other networks across Jacobs in various experiences that will be on offer general aspirations as a recognised inclusive and diverse employer.
