Neuberger Berman is running a six to eight week Summer Internship Program between the months of June to August 2021.  We are looking for enthusiastic team players with a desire to work on a wide variety of projects.  Below is further information on the five internships.  This is not a rotational program, however we will be hosting a variety of training sessions and events to help you gain insight to our global business.

Please submit a Cover Letter with your CV and state which department you would be interested in joining.   

Legal:

    • Review of vendor agreements, standard NDA requests and access letters.
    • Corporate filings in Europe (e.g. NBEL branch closures and bank guarantees for the NBAMIL branches).
    • Template review.
    • Compiling know-how / a presentation library (e.g. that could include for example, Alex’s slides on the Part II fund, the CLO vehicle presentation, regulatory summaries, a guide to UCITS share classes, overviews of investment strategies and financial instruments, etc).
    • Corporate administrative.
    • Paralegal support.

Operational Risk:

    • NORD Support: Develop an understanding the Operational Risk system, assisting with user set up / reporting requests and training / configuration of RCSA releases.
    • Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA): Attend the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) workshops in order to understand the key processes and functions at Neuberger Berman.
    • Third Party Risk Management: Assist the Operational Risk Manager and SVMO team with the clean-up of the vendor master list in ServiceNow to ensure we have a consistent vendor source, feeding into other systems.
    • IT Risk Framework: Attendance for the discussions with the Technology teams to get an understanding of the IT risk / governance structure and outputs of the process
    • Operational Resilience: Participation in the key workshop meetings as the operational resilience project plan is progressed in order to understand the key points of the regulation and implications for Neuberger Berman.

Marketing:

    • Competitor Review: Analyse NB’s key competitors across all elements of the marketing mix including digital to give an overview of strengths and weaknesses.
    • Digital & Materials Audit: Review NB’s websites as well as internal content management system to ensure messaging and accuracy of documents.
    • External Data Audit: Review key digital platforms including Morningstar for accuracy of data.

Fund Client Service:

    • Investor onboarding.
    • Fund launches.
    • Distributor oversight.
    • Investor query management.
    • Three key projects for this program which cover a wide range of the roles and responsibilities within the team:
      • Mapping of Share Class Launches vs Projected investments
      • Mapping the Distributor Oversight Model
      • Automation of NB’s Fund portfolio holdings dissemination process

Portfolio Solutions:

    • Market research – Inflation analysis for key asset classes
    • Work on dashboard update for key MA Strategy– valuations/fundamentals/technicals on range of markets (this is a project)
    • Support in drafting presentation slides & data collection for reporting.  Client engagement process.
