Job summary

Assistant trader in Cross Asset and Long term FX trading desks, working on structured products combining different underlyings (rates, FX, equity, credit).

  • Learning of daily tasks; risk reporting production and portfolio management
  • Introduction to structured products pricing; models used, limitations and regulation.
  • Trading tools development; : risks monitoring and arbitrage opportunities.



Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting : Excel, Access, Outlook

Use of internal risk management tools

  • Working on product pricing, ensuring consideration of regulations and other limitations
  • Controlling : Daily & periodical controls on the Cross-Asset and LTFX activity.
  • Update and improvement of Desk procedures.
  • After a good understanding of usual process has been developed, go into details of pricing and portfolio management

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Postgraduate degree MA / MSc / PhD / Doctorate or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

In order to be considered for this vacancy you must be educated to postgraduate level with the minimum classification of 2 : 1.

It would be preferable if your degree is in Engineering, Finance or Economics

  • Advance Excel skills particularly with VBA
  • Strong prior experience with programming software such as Python
