AXA XL is looking for three Undergraduates for an 8 week internship within our UK Claims team for summer 2021. This opportunity gives you the chance to develop new skills, gain new experiences and interact with management, which will be key to your future career development. You will be exposed to various areas of our business through intern events and activities.

The programme will run from the 14th June 2021 to the 6th August 2021 – you’ll need to be available for the full duration of the programme.

Each claims team at AXA XL is focused on a particular line of insurance business to provide expertise in the subject matter and claims management process. For the Internship programme we have opportunities available with the International Casualty and International Financial Lines claims teams.  You will have a commercially focused project or piece of work for you to focus on during your time with us.

DISCOVER  your opportunity

Supporting the development and implementation of strategic initiatives by:

  • Developing an in-depth understanding of the insurance business by observing claims processes and working closely with our claims teams
  • Providing support for the Business Analysis Center of Excellence, including process mapping, analyzing documents and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Utilizing Excel, assisting the Business Analysts with the project estimation process.
  • Analyzing the onboarding process and requirements.
  • Working on special projects assigned by your business unit.
  • Designing and enhancing PowerPoint presentations for senior management

Learning Opportunities:

  • Development of business analysis and project management skills
  • Enhancement of communication skills through regular meetings, workshops and presentations
  • Provision of business insight and development of analytical and problem-solving capabilities through the analysis and presentation of data and processes
  • Development of stakeholder engagement capabilities by forging working relationships with the business

  • Currently enrolled on a University course in your 2nd year (for 3 year courses) or 3rd year (for 4 year courses) with a predicted 2.1 or above

  • A candidate who is results driven and capable of cutting through bureaucracy

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and communication/presentation skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom

  • First-level interview: this is a strengths-based telephone interview with our Talent Acquisition team.
  • Second-level interview: this will be an interview with a member of the Claims team.
