About us

LGT Wealth Management UK LLP is a UK-based partnership, wholly owned by the private banking group LGT, which is in turn owned by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein. When we set up LGT Wealth Management in 2008, our aim was to offer a fresh approach to wealth management. Alongside the LLP we also have two other entities which focus on US and Jersey based clients. Our head office is based in London however we have a presence in Edinburgh, Jersey, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol. The plan was simple: put our clients first by providing a transparent service, designed around what is right for each of them. By drawing together in-depth knowledge and experience from across the industry, we provide a flexible, bespoke service adapted to each of our clients’ needs.
Our mission is to create long-term value for all stakeholders. Our culture encourages individuals to generate, develop and implement ideas which will strengthen our business. Belonging, respect, integrity, conviction and entrepreneurship are our core values. As our brand recognition grows, we are fast becoming an employer of choice in our sector. We have over £29 billion in funds under management and circa 700 staff.

Our 2024 Internship Opportunities

This year we will be hosting eleven interns across a number of areas in our business including:

  • Business Operations (Custody Services)
  • Client Services
  • Investment Proposition (based in our Edinburgh office)
  • Portfolio Management
  • Sustainable Investing
  • International Clients Desk

Below is an outline of what each of these business areas performs. While we will ultimately decide what internship position to place you in, you can indicate in your application if there are particular areas of our business you would prefer to have the opportunity to work in.

Your primary place of work will be in our City of London office (aside from the Investment Proposition role which is Edinburgh based) where you will be placed on an eight week programme between 1 July & 23 August 2024.

We care about the development of our people and we will ensure you gain a mixture of formal learning combined with on-the-job professional experience. Each intern will be given a project to work on by their managers as well as performing day to day tasks. We will host a number of ‘Meet the business’ meetings across people within our business for the duration of your internship and you will be asked to present your projects at the end of your internship to fellow intern peers and to different members of the Firm.

Our interns will follow the hybrid model of working in the office and homeworking, however we would expect you to be in the office for the vast majority of your week.

Your Salary & Living Allowance

Our internship programme is paying £500 a week and you will be payrolled through our external recruitment partner, Bruin Recruitment.

In addition, if you are required to rent accommodation in London for the duration of our internship programme, we will provide an additional £150 per week living allowance to help support the cost of your accommodation. Please note you will be required to provide proof of a rental agreement to be eligible for this living allowance.
