Ramboll’s internship programme is a great way to expedite your learning within the Engineering industry. You’ll be gaining real world experience with our expert Engineers across a range of disciplines. We are looking for someone to join our Impact Assessment Team in various locations (London, Chippenham or Manchester) for a year-long placement, starting in the Summer 2021. Join our Impact Assessment team
As our new Impact Assessment Intern, you will be part of our UK Environment & Health team based in Ramboll’s London, Chippenham or Manchester office. You will be part of a dynamic and growing team, with a focus on international environmental and social impact assessments (ESIAs) across a range of sectors including infrastructure and renewable energy projects. You will get hands on experience in undertaking impact assessments and an understanding of different international finance institution lender requirements.

This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team, to further develop a variety of skills, and build a successful career within the environmental consultancy sector. Training will be provided, and you will be given a mentor for your placement who will support, monitor and feedback on your performance throughout your work.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

    • Undertaking desk-based research
    • Coordination of environmental specialists undertaking environmental surveys, assessments and design activities
    • Drafting of impact assessment chapters
    • Assist the team with identifying solutions to our client’s problems
    • Contribute to Ramboll culture and values
    • Working with the team on any other administrative duties that may be required

    • Studying for a relevant degree or masters degree in an environmental discipline
    • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
    • Strong computing skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
    • Good attitude, with a willingness to learn
