As a graduate, you will join the Post Trade Tech Division, which will be the ideal springboard for an exciting and meaningful career in global financial markets technology.

Post Trade Tech cover the full spectrum across high-speed trading platforms, data distribution platforms, clearing and settlement systems for our customers as well as internal business systems and the tools our employees use each day.

To be eligible you must be a graduate who has completed your studies in 2023 or a final year undergraduate or Master’s student and have completed all the requirements of your qualification before September 2024. You should be on track for a 2:1 degree or equivalent in a STEM degree (science, technology, engineering or mathematics).

We offer a wide range of Software Development roles which will allow you to explore one of the following technologies:

  • Java
  • JavaScript and TypeScript (React)
  • Testing/QA Automation
  • Cloud

Roles can vary from development and programming to testing and analytics, we seek to match your skills and background to the projects available.

Our graduates join us on a permanent basis, allowing you to explore opportunities within a secure framework. Following the initial 12-month programme you will begin a longer-term role aligned with the needs of the business and your skills.

What we are looking for:

We are passionate about recruiting people who have a genuine curiosity about Technology and strive to pursue a Technology career path, as evidenced by a combination of their studies, extracurriculars or work experience. It’s important to us that you can also understand the breadth of our organisation, how it functions and the vital role that technology plays in supporting LSEG and our clients.

  • You will have an interest in technology demonstrated either via your work experience, extracurricular activities, or academic studies. For instance, you may have secured an internship in a technology role or focused on technology as part of a university project. You may have learnt how to code or how to use a particular technology.
  • You should have an interest in financial markets, which you’ve built through your studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.
  • A curiosity for data and an ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions.
  • Individuals who can connect the dots and think strategically.
  • The environment we work in is fast paced, you’ll need to demonstrate focus, resilience, and the flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
  • People who can collaborate with others, using their strong communication skills in the process.
  • Ideal candidates will have the rights to work in the UK without restrictions

Recruitment Process: We have designed the process to be fair and consistent for everyone who applies. It’s about making sure you’re a great fit for our business, and that we are a great fit for you. We want to understand your passions and what drives you.

  • The first stage of the recruitment process involves a review of your CV and motivational statement.
  • Should you pass the initial screening stage, we will invite you to complete an online test to help identify the skills and behaviours you’ll bring to the role. It includes some questions on how you would describe yourself, how you typically approach tasks, and a short cognitive ability test.
  • The next step is a video interview where we will gain a deeper understanding of your motivations for the role as well as some of our key competencies.
  • The final stage is an assessment centre which involves a number of different types of exercises – further information is provided at the point of invite.
