C&PS DCM is responsible for knowing the short and long-term funding plans of their issuer clients, their appetite for deleveraging and early refinancing, their need for M&A-related liability and capital management solutions, the issuers’ business strategies, and an in-depth knowledge of their credit metrics and dynamics. C&PS DCM is also responsible for seamless co-ordination with Mizuho Bank on mutual clients. The team is highly focused on identifying cross-selling opportunities and enhancing the development of group-wide synergies.

FI DCM is responsible for knowing the short and long-term funding and capital plans of their issuer clients, the issuers’ business strategies, and an in-depth knowledge of their credit and interest rate metrics and dynamics. FI DCM is also responsible for seamless co-ordination with Mizuho Bank on mutual clients. The team is highly focused on identifying cross-selling opportunities and enhancing the development of group-wide synergies.
The Debt Syndicate team’s primary role is to provide pricing, execution strategy and tactics for specific proposed transactions for Mizuho clients. The team also liaises with other Mizuho group syndicate teams, underwrites debt transactions, executes medium term notes and private placements, manages risk positions and communicates with other banks’ syndicate desks to provide seamless execution for clients’ bond issues. Debt Syndicate is responsible for liaising between traders, sales, DCM and derivatives’ teams, and engages both investors and issuers in the pursuit of cutting-edge market intelligence to provide appropriate execution advice to clients. Debt Syndicate is also required to execute swaps and to provide direct coverage for certain frequent borrowers.
The Primary Debt Markets team is responsible for marketing and originating fixed income products across various currencies to their issuer client base which consists of global sovereigns, supranationals and agencies, as well as global financial institutions and corporates (IG, HY and EM).
