The EQD Strategic Equity business unit works closely with the sales and structuring team to execute transactions at a fair price and offer new solutions to our corporate and institutional clients, to help them find effective ways to manage their exposure to risk.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As part of the Strategic Equity Trading team the successful applicant will be helping traders in their day-to day activities and be trained over time as an effective backup, working directly under the Head of EMEA Flow Trading.

THE ROLE

You will assist the traders in their daily activities and tasks such as:

  • Help to monitor the risks and positions of the books
  • Help to explain the p&l on a daily basis
  • Assistance in pricing and booking client transactions
  • Liaise with Middle Office and Back office for the daily management of the books
  • Comply with conduct and compliance rules
  • To ensure robust risk management with a focus on risk assessment and compliance with regulatory policies
  • To work with sales and structurers, where appropriate, to facilitate the customer business
  • Accountable for the completion of assigned tasks and projects
  • Resolve day-to-day payment issues with the back-office on specific trades
  • Support the traders in managing system issues

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Student preferably in Master 1 or Master 2 in Finance/Financial markets
  • Entry-level professional position
  • Some technical background and basic understanding of the financial markets

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

  • Proactive and enthusiastic self-starter
  • Strong mathematical, analytical & quantitative skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent spoken and written English are crucial and other languages are a definite advantage in this field

Long Term Internship
