An industrial placement at Capgemini is perfect for you if you want to create, develop, and deliver IT solutions.  As a project support specialist, you will gain experience of applications, environments, and business-critical issues during your placement.  Developing strategies to enable the implementation and roll-out of business-critical applications that help the organisation to successfully deliver key services and projects to our clients.

You will be working alongside people who are experts in different technologies and have a wealth of technical and client experience spread across the globe.  It is often fast-paced, and we work in a collaborative environment.  You’ll be involved from day one with a team which is around you, be stretched and, just as importantly, be trusted.

The Focus of Your Role

The Strategic Projects Portfolio (SPP) team is a centre of excellence for delivering key strategic projects and programmes to Capgemini, implementing new global solutions which help the organisation to be competitive whilst delivering key services and projects to both the business and our clients.

As a Projects Support Specialist, you will have insights into;

  •  Knowledge and expertise in specific technologies and solutions, working closely with the other consultants, service managers or technical teams from across the globe.
  • Technologies used and how we use capabilities to then be able to offer solutions to the business.
  • Working with the technical teams and the business to build strategies for developing and deploying new solutions.
  • Working with the business and project teams to clarify requirements.
  • Exposure to development lifecycle from requirements, through design, delivery, test and live support.
  • Appreciating different types of solutions depending on the needs of business.
  • Work to deadlines and know when to escalate potential problems.

Additional Information

Some of our roles may require security clearance. To meet security clearance requirements, you will need to have lived in the UK for the past five years. If you have spent more than six months outside the UK in that period, we will unfortunately not be able to consider you for the role.
