The real estate business was founded in 2006 and launched its first funds for institutional investors in 2008, since then it has attracted a range of blue-chip clients from the UK, continental Europe and Asia. The experienced team of fund managers, analysts and operations professionals are based in 6 locations across Europe (London, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam and Luxembourg). The team has established strong performance track records and we are now building on this success by first growing our existing flagship funds, then further developing the business by launching new funds. As a long term investor, our ultimate goal is to be one of the major real estate fund managers in Europe.
Real Estate Operations is part of Fidelity International’s wider Investment Management Operations group and is responsible for providing support to the Real Estate Investment managers, research team and other group functions. The team is responsible for Financial Accounting, Corporate Reporting, Taxation, Fund Structuring and Asset Servicing for all aspects of the Real Estate Business.
What you’ll be doing:
We are looking for individuals who are interested in joining us on a rotational programme in our Real Estate Operations teams and seeking challenging and rewarding work. On the two-year programme, you will have the opportunity to go straight into the action working alongside a great team of colleagues who are keen to share their experience and support your learning.
The role will also be wide ranging assisting in all aspects of Property Fund Accounting Control and Oversight including transaction support. You will gain exposure to property accounting, service charge accounting and oversight of tax compliance. In your day to day you will learn about and support a number of critical accounting processes including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Bank Reconciliations; this will include supporting the authorisation of payments on 3rd party banking provider platforms.
The role will also involve working closely with other FIL departments in Europe including fund accounting, compliance, finance, as well as external advisers and suppliers including, third party administrators, auditors, legal advisers, tax advisers and benchmark providers:

We don’t expect you to come straight in and know everything about what we do. As a graduate, and whatever you’ve studied, we’ll help make sure you get the most out of being a full-time employee.

You’ll start the graduate programme with a comprehensive induction, during which we’ll introduce you to investment management and how it fits into the City, as well as to financial markets. After that, there are many more ways to develop your skills through the duration of the program.
Social and networking events will help you get to know our people and culture. All the while you’ll be learning on the job, working to clear goals and understanding your own potential.
You will also have the opportunity to complete the IOC or IMC (Investment Operations Certificate or Investment Management Certificate) qualification which will complement the on the job experience offered in this programme.
