What is the opportunity?

Royal Bank of Canada Wealth Management is one of the world’s top five largest wealth managers, which directly serves affluent, high net worth and ultra high net worth clients globally with a full suite of banking, investment, trust and other wealth management solutions. RBC Wealth Management’s recent Brewin Dolphin acquisition also created one of the largest wealth managers in the UK, Channel Islands and Ireland.

Based in RBC’s European Headquarters in London and spanning a 24 month period, the programme will provide a holistic experience of our Wealth Management solutions in the British Isles. Successful candidates will complete x4 6 month rotations in client facing and business solutions roles.

At the end of the programme you will have gained a thorough and diverse understanding of the Wealth Management business as well as a solid network of internal / external colleagues.

A specific learning plan will complement the experience gained through the rotations and, depending on your preferred career route, a professional qualification is also an option.

Successful candidates will rotate through a number of the teams listed below, working alongside industry professionals and gaining valuable experience from each rotation. Specific teams participating in the programme include:

  • Sales and Relationship Management
  • Wealth Planning
  • Investment Solutions and Products
  • Credit

What do you need to succeed?

  • Self-awareness, emotional intelligence and a strong motivation to build a career in Wealth Management
  • A thorough understanding of RBC’s values and the ambition to demonstrate them every day Strong communication skills with a natural ability to influence and build strong professional relationships
  • Ability to take the initiative, work creatively to solve problems and drive to impact
  • Works effectively in a pressurised and can adapt quickly in a constantly changing environment
  • Demonstrable academic and real world achievements alongside a motivation to continually learn
  • Strong numerical, analytical and creative skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointWell-researched in the latest global economic issues and key themes in financial markets
