Job summary

Department Overview

Cross Currency & non G3 Rates Trading team is in charge of all Non-Euro Rates Products: Government Bonds, Cross Currency, Interest Rate Swaps, FRA’s, Futures and FX markets.

Internship will cover a large scope of trading area:

  • Pricing Methodology within multicurves environment (IR curves Stripping, Derivatives Pricing, Electronic Trading)
  • Hedging methodology (Best Practice and Regulation, Market Liquidity)
  • Trading Book Management (Risk Management, X-Gamma Exposure)
  • Regulatory Environment (xVA impact, IMVA impact, Clearing)

Summary

Primary responsibility is to support the Cross Currency & G8 Rates Trading desk based in London in order to free up the traders.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the smooth running of trader support activities on the desk, including, but not limited to:

  • Production of PNL, FX exposure, Funding, Brokerage fees and Risks reports
  • Delivery of commercial contributions and activity metrics
  • Spreadsheet developments
  • Collecting and analysing information on desk funding requirements and procedures
  • Providing PNL explanation indicators
  • Participation to the systems upgrades with the identification of developments needed, their testing and validations

Reporting on an informal basis on specific business-related issues to the Traders and / or the Global Head of Cross Currency & G8 Rates.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Academic qualification / Speciality

Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Math or Science or an equivalent numerate subject.

Required skills

Ability to prioritize effectively – planning and organisation of work, anticipation and respect of deadlines with attention to detail

Technical skills required.

Strong numerical, analytical and spreadsheet skills

Strong Microsoft skills (excel, VBA programming)
