What you’ll be doing

Based in London, the Apprentice would be responsible for assisting the Know-Your-Client (KYC) analysis and vetting team (Client Support Group) in the onboarding of new clients as well as updating any existing clients that may be required. The position will involve performing KYC analysis of clients, implementing Natixis Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime Prevention policies. You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting Front Office on queries related to the KYC onboarding process as well as the production of Management Information on the activity of CSG. The Apprentice will also have to clear daily alerts (adverse news and screenings).
  • Assisting on the vetting of applicable KYS requirements for UK suppliers.
  • Assisting the KYC analysis and vetting team on new onboarding and all related tasks
  • Executing certain daily controls and report any findings to senior member of CSG as well assist in the preparation of PEP memos.
  • Maintenance and production of various management reports (Key Performance Indicators, production figures, etc.) and help the CSG team maintain all relevant databases.
  • Onboarding and maintenance of internal KYS requirements for certain UK suppliers.

The successful candidate will be trained to perform KYC analysis and will perform analysis of low risk clients supervised by the senior members of the CGS team. You will also assist with the screening process of Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) and report findings to senior members of CSG team.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

We are looking for someone who:
– Meets the Minimum Eligibility Requirements: A minimum of 3 A-levels and GCSE grade 4(C) in Mathematics and English.
– Has strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Intermediate proficiency in Power BI/VBA would be advantageous.
– Is comfortable using web-based technology.
– Is proactive with the ability to deliver value-added support to business partners in a dependable, timely and accurate manner.
– Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to accept new assignments and challenges in a changing environment.
– Good communication and interpersonal skills both with team members as well as other business partners and stakeholders.
– Can interact confidently with all levels of stakeholders.
– Has strong attention to detail with a control and risk discipline mindset, takes ownership and is accountable for area of responsibility.
