Is this role right for you?

The Technology Summer Internship is an exciting opportunity to support the Technology team in Europe in its exploitation of data. This role will focus on leveraging the Global Markets Data Platform to develop reports and APIs to enable users in Europe to access the data directly, eliminating manual processes. You will have the opportunity to work alongside both local and Global teams in the delivery of projects, and drive improvements in working methods within the team locally whilst supporting projects that deliver revenue as well as regulatory projects such as Operational Resilience.

What will my responsibilities look like?

  • Work with IT Managers in Europe and the IT&S Organization
  • Support the trading applications and the desktop environment
  • Run start of day checks and communicate results
  • Log trader’s problems and perform analysis of root cause and themes
  • Dive in to solve data problems, technical problems
  • Identify areas for improvement and suggest resolutions

Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you:

  • Are a penultimate year undergraduate student studying a relevant degree (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering etc)
  • Are familiar with one of more software development language, Python, Java etc.
  • Have good communication skills and some experience of presentations to stakeholders
  • Are comfortable handling large amounts of data and performing data analysis (familiar with analysis techniques is a benefit)
  • Have a growth mindset and are a problem solver
