Weatherbys Private Bank has made it a priority to invest in students who have an interest in a career in Private Banking. As a business, we can provide excellent training with exposure to multiple departments within the Bank. The internship will help students build a work history, expand their professional skill sets, and lay the foundations for a career in Private Banking.
We have limited places on the programme which takes place every summer and as an intern you will be supporting our teams with a highly diverse range of live projects and real business challenges. You will gain a real insight into our range of products, services and business areas, while making an impact in the time you are with us.
We have had great success over many years running the programme, with some interns and graduates returning to us on a permanent basis after their studies.
The programme
Over the 8 weeks, you will be working primarily with the client-facing teams within banking, business development, and investment and wealth advice. Depending on your projects you may also work alongside other business areas such as finance, marketing and HR. This will give you a well-rounded understanding of the business, help develop your skills, and allow you to consider whether a career within a private bank is the right path for you.
Throughout the programme you will be given plenty of support from our teams and will be partnered with both a mentor and a buddy within the bank.
Where you will work
You can be based in one of our three offices: London, Edinburgh or Wellingborough.
When does this start?
Typically, the programme starts towards the end of June, beginning of July for a period of 8 weeks.
