Job description

Be innovative

As a Barclays Payments & Platforms Analyst, you’ll join the team that stands as the leading credit card issuer in the UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal and the Nordics. At a time when success relies on innovation and visionary technological advancement, your enthusiasm and drive will help us stay ahead of the curve. It’ll be a challenge every day, but one where you’ll find huge support – from an expert team spread across 44 locations. Build a successful career within a changing industry, and gain the training and support to explore where your talent belongs.

Real responsibility, right away

During the programme, you’ll find your way within our Payments & Platforms function. With real responsibility from day one, you’ll find a line manager who’ll challenge and guide you, and a buddy and mentor to support you in your development journey.

Working with colleagues across teams and across diverse businesses, you’ll be fully encouraged to explore new opportunities. Many of our interns take on additional projects, work shadow and network in different teams to make the most of their experience with us.

A place where you can thrive

At Barclays, you’ll be surrounded by people who will help you achieve your ambitions. Our collaborative, supportive environment gives you the chance to build solid relationships with senior leaders and peers alike. During the programme, you’ll also:

  • participate in formal and informal training
  • connect with junior and senior mentors
  • attend dedicated networking sessions and other programme events
  • receive detailed performance feedback
  • give back to the community through volunteer events.

And if you really impress us, this could be the beginning of an incredible career. We invite top-performing, eligible summer analysts to join us as full-time Payments & Platforms analysts after graduation.

To be considered for this program, you must:

  • currently be pursuing an undergraduate degree with anticipated graduation year 2024.

Ideally, you would also have:

  • a customer-driven attitude and an ability to quickly adapt to change and learn new technologies.
  • be passionate about relationship building as well as being a commercially minded problem solver.
