Summary
Dynamic, fast-paced capital markets work experience with exposure to a variety of sales and trading desks through CIBC’s Summer Analyst programme.

Through our Capital Markets summer Analyst programme, you’ll get direct work experience and exposure to a variety of sales and trading desks at CIBC. We offer integrated Capital Markets products (Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Interest Rate Derivatives, Commodities, Equities, Equity Derivatives, and Securities Lending). Moreover, CIBC offers investment banking advisory services, corporate lending and top-ranked research to corporate, government and institutional clients around the world.

As a Capital Markets Summer Analyst you will have the opportunity to:

• Participate in an orientation session to learn more about the bank and our Capital Markets business here in the region
• Understand how different businesses and markets operate
• Assist in idea generation, financial markets analysis, and risk monitoring
• Work on specific projects for a desk, set by teams of senior traders and salespeople with extensive experience in the markets
• Attend and contribute to team meetings

Key Requirements:

• Demonstrated track record of academic success, preferably in a STEM discipline
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills
• A team player who can communicate complex ideas simply and effectively
• Fluent in English and the right to work in the UK
