We are recruiting for a number of Summer Interns to join Parameta Solutions, where you will gain unique insight in to Technology & Project Management, the people who perform that role, our industry and what you could expect, should you be offered a full time position upon completion of your internship.

The vacancy lies within the TP ICAP Parameta Solutions division which is responsible for the dissemination, packaging and sales of wholesale market data derived from the firms’ broking activities to the financial community including information vendors, specialist suppliers and investment banks.
We are professional intermediaries playing a pivotal role in the world’s financial, energy and commodities markets. Matching buyers and sellers, we create liquidity and price discovery in these markets and provide insight and context to our clients.
We operate a hybrid model where brokers provide business-critical intelligence to clients. It’s supplemented by proprietary screens for historical data, analytics and execution functionality.
Globally, we’re the leading provider of proprietary over the counter pricing information and a unique source of data on financial, energy and commodities products. Our market data is independent, unbiased and non-position influenced.
Our clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.
What you can expect:
Exposure shadowing Data Science and Data Engineering teams
Hands on work with data manipulation projects
Ownership of a mini data project, managing approach and execution independently
Communication with stakeholders whilst understanding business outcome
Shadowing of Project Managers in their day to day tasks
Tasks to create tracking templates, data flow diagrams, management packs containing charting and presentation of KPI’s
What we require from you:
You will be a penultimate year student in a full-time study. You will have an expected graduation date between December 2023 to August 2024.
Be studying towards a Maths, Computer Science or related degree.
Have a passion for working with people, possessing excellent communication and collaboration skills. Able to work effectively with a diverse team.
Can demonstrate both analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Hold a clear and genuine interest in the Financial Services industry.
Comfortable with ambiguous, ever-changing situations with a keen eye for detail.
Knowledge of Python and Cloud based technologies would be beneficial, but isn’t essential.
