Human Resources Summer internship, London

Looking for a Summer Internship for 2023 in Financial Services? We are offering talented students the opportunity to gain valuable insight and hands-on experience in to the role of a HR professional within our business. The internship will offer a 10 week immersive experience during the summer in our London offices.

The opportunity:

We are recruiting for a Summer Intern to join our Human Resources area, where you will gain unique insight in to the HR function, the people who perform that role and our industry. While day-to-day responsibilities will vary based on your placement, this represents an incredible opportunity to build your foundational knowledge, professional skills and experiences to take your career in many different directions.

What you can expect:

  • Exposure to Advisory and Talent Acquisition teams
  • Assisting the Advisory team to support the delivery and implementation of HR initiatives and projects within employee engagement, talent management and employee relations.
  • Participating in employee engagement projects such as the mentoring program, ensuring data accuracy, and the progression of new applications.
  • Building upon and contributing to D&I initiatives
  • Exposure to managing parental leave as well as employee lifecycle processes such as job changes.
  • Contributing to build of best practice guides for employees and managers in various employment related HR processes
  • Assisting the Talent Acquisition to research industry best practices and strategies; assist in developing creative sourcing techniques to identify prospective candidates.
  • Identify and develop diversity recruiting initiatives.
  • Work with recruiters to screen qualified candidates on the phone and in person.
  • Schedule candidate interviews.
  • Learn the ins and outs of Workday HRIS to assist with recruiting and onboarding processes.

What we require from you:

  • You will be a penultimate year student in a full-time study. You will have an expected graduation date between December 2023 to August 2024.
  • Have a clear interest for working in Human Resources.
  • A passion for working with people. Possessing both excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Can demonstrate both analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • An eye for detail.
  • Comfortable with ambiguous, ever-changing situations.
  • Prior exposure to the Microsoft Office suits (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word).
