Your summer intern programme will give you a taste of what life at Zurich could be like in one of our graduate roles. Successful completion of your summer internship in 2023 could lead to you being offered a place on one of our graduate programmes starting in 2024.
Our new Sustainable Energy Underwriting Programme will be at the heart of making a difference to our global commercial customers in the Energy sector as we support and encourage their sustainable energy transition plans, whilst helping them to manage their risks.
What can I look forward to?
We want you to achieve your full potential and that’s why our internship programme is designed to build on your university studies. You will join our Energy Underwriting team and develop expertise across the whole breadth of insurance, from understanding, assessing and reducing risk, to claims, pricing and insurance frameworks – all with a focus on sustainable energy. This will help you build a great foundation for your future career.
The is all under pinned by a 10-week structured development programme as well as the chance to work on a UK wide intern project where you will work with other interns across the business.
And to ensure you have the best start, a dedicated buddy will be on-hand to support you throughout your summer with us. Our internships are a 10-week programme; likely start will be mid-late June.

What you’ll need:
Be in your penultimate year of undergraduate study and predicted minimum 2:1 degree ideally in Renewable Energy Engineering or you could be a sustainability advocate with a broader Engineering degree
At least 96 UCAS points – CCC grades (or equivalent) from 3 A-level subjects
A* to C grade (9 to 4) in Maths and English GCSE
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to study for further professional qualifications
