LCP is an award-winning actuarial and analytics consultancy providing advice on energy, pensions, investments, employee benefits, insurance and health.
Are you looking to embark upon your career in the exciting, fast-changing world of Investment Consulting? If so, then you have come to the right place!
What will you be doing?
Our Investment Consulting department advises pension scheme trustees and employers on the best strategy for their pension scheme investments. We also advise charities and insurance companies on their investments. We search the market for the best investment managers to implement the chosen strategy and monitor experience against our clients’ aims. Given the ever-changing economic environment, it is important that we stay up-to-date with the financial markets and how these could impact our clients.
As a summer intern, you will be given upfront training to give you an understanding of the work we do, as well as in softer skills such as presentation training. Alongside this training you will be given opportunities to get involved in a range of client work – gaining an insight into the tools and models we use to help clients and the way in which we interact with clients as good consultants.
What’s in it for you?
As well as gaining a valuable insight into the work we do in this area, you will get to experience a fun, collaborative, people orientated business environment. We offer an attractive internship remuneration.
We continuously strive to build an inclusive workplace where all forms of diversity are valued, including age, background, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, race, religion or sexual orientation

Whilst we have A-level grade requirements as set out above, we think it is very important to consider academic results in the context in which they were achieved – so as to give everyone a fair chance. This is why we have introduced a contextualised grading platform. Contextualised grading considers factors such as school and college performance, as well as personal circumstances, giving us a better indication of your potential. We love what we do and it shows. We help our clients make good decisions based on insightful analysis, industry expertise, and game-changing technology.
We are a true partnership – both in our corporate structure and our relationships, and clients tell us we are an extension of their team. We focus our efforts on making sure that every client gets the right advice for their own unique circumstances. Because we are independent, we don’t have a stake in recommending any specific solutions, so clients can trust our advice implicitly.
We build longstanding relationships with our clients, who tend to have worked with us for many years, because we believe that is the best way to build consistency and trust.
We believe that our biggest strength is our people – and client feedback tells us the same. We are home to talented, well-recognised industry experts, and we are committed to ensuring a bright and interesting future for our gifted group of graduates, analysts, consultants and principals, to join our ever-growing partnership. That means that we need to keep developing our business.
Alongside our traditional service development activity, our internal entrepreneur programme helps us to find the best business development ideas from across our people, and make them a reality. So, while we may be best known for our market-leading advice in pensions and investment, we have a reputation for excellence in a wide range of growth areas, including insurance, energy and technology.
We believe that technology has the power to put control back into our clients’ hands, by making sure they always have the information they need in real-time to evaluate any advice. That is why we build our own tools in-house, with programmers sitting alongside our industry experts to make sure that anything we build is designed primarily with our clients’ needs in mind.
