Job summary

Summary of Role

This is a RAD Developer role based in London requiring Web UI skills (scripting knowledge (JavaScript/Typescript)) and Python knowledge for the Back End.

The role requires a sense of independence and ability to work within a challenging environment.

The role involves significant exposure to front office users; mainly Sales, Traders and Quantitative research departments and is a great opportunity to learn and extend the successful candidate’s skills in a broad range of financial products.

The main focus of the role will be to take part in PRICE Discovery project, a Web pricer of linear products developed in
Angular and dedicated to Sales users (based worldwide) within a team of 3 Sales Commando all based in London.

Key Responsibilities

1. Understanding key business requirements of Vanilla Products desks.
   2. Maintaining strong working relationships with trading, sales, quants and IT teams.
   3. Taking part in PRICE development (both back end and UI), e.g integrating new linear product using good coding
   practice to ensure long term maintainability of coding solution in order to reduce the support
   4. Supporting the tool (investigating both pricing and UI issues)
   5. Provide a User-Guide.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

6. Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to,
   the London Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial
   Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including
   reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
   7. Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory
   training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Academic qualification / Speciality

ESSENTIAL:

Higher Education (Degree or
equivalent) in computer science
engineering

Experience

ESSENTIAL:

Software development lifecycle.

DESIRABLE:

Experience in investment banking
