Lloyds Banking Group Start Your Journey Events
Whatever you’re thinking of doing after university, it pays to begin your preparations early. And our Start Your Journey Technology Events are designed to help you do just that.
These four-day virtual events offer an introduction to the world of work, and insights into life at Lloyds Banking Group. All of which could help you decide the direction you want to take, and support you in laying the groundwork for a great career.
If you already have a career plan in mind, the experience will prove invaluable when it comes to your applications. If you’re still not sure, it’ll equip you with the key skills you’ll need, regardless of the path you choose.
What’s involved?
Whether you’re a complete beginner wanting to find out more, or already a coding maestro or software engineering expert, these events offer an insight into how we’re building the Bank of the Future. Sessions will include problem-solving activities, coding challenges, group tasks, case studies and even a virtual hackathon!
We’ll share valuable tips on how to build partnerships and how networking can benefit your future career.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet like-minded people, grow your skillset, and learn more about yourself. We’ll also share tips on how to build partnerships and how networking can benefit your future career.
Who are they for?
These events are open to first, second and penultimate year university students. We’re not looking for students who’ve studied specific subjects or have experience in banking and finance. It’s purely about helping open-minded, committed and passionate people to gain confidence when accessing the world of work.
When are they?
The events are run throughout the summer of 2022 – from the beginning of June until the end of September.
How do I apply?
The ‘Apply now’ link below will take you to a short registration form. Once you’ve completed that, you’ll be sent a link to an online assessment, which takes around 30 minutes and must be submitted by Friday 25th March 2022.
