Job Description

The Team: 

Our Events team sits within our Commercial department, a department with great content at its core, connecting some of the biggest brands with our valuable audience. Our Events Team is an area of strategic importance to News UK.  We currently deliver 200+ events per year delivering revenue to our business and significant value in terms of customer and client engagement.

Being a News UK Events Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to be fully immersed in the Events team, working with some of the biggest News and Radio brands including The Sun, The Times & The Sunday Times, talkSPORT and Virgin Radio.

You will get an insight into how to run and deliver events that reflect our brands, clients, rewards our customers and meet stakeholder & client objectives. You will get great exposure to our commercial teams, working alongside them to respond to briefs, attend brainstorming sessions, supporting the pitches and execution of events. You will also be given the opportunity to rotate across our Commercial department.

Over the course of 24 months you will study towards your Level 4 Sales Executive qualification, this has been identified to equip you with the skills and knowledge to kick start your career in Events. The learning will be a combination of on the job, digital and interactive learning.. Some of the areas it covers include; Impactful communication, digital skills, market knowledge, customer experience, effective collaboration, resilience and professional development.
