The key strengths we’re looking for are:
5 GCSE’s grade C or above including English and Maths (or equivalent level qualifications)
How will the Apprenticeship programme support you?
As a Trainee Software Engineer you’ll be supported by your Line Manager, in work Buddy and Apprenticeship Learning Mentor. 20% of your time whilst you’re on the Apprenticeship scheme will be dedicated to ‘off the job learning’, which can include attending workshops, shadowing, reading, completing assignments etc. Which means that 80% of your role is applying your learning in the workplace, in a safe environment.
You’ll have up to 18 months to complete your apprenticeship and after this period, you’ll be a competent software engineer.
What will you do?
Trainee Software Engineers are the people who decide how mobile and online banking looks and works. You’ll build, test and implement mobile and online software for millions of our customers up and down the country – using coding skills to create seamless user experiences.
As a Trainee Software Engineer, you’ll:
Whilst learning about our current technologies, you’ll build up experience of our systems to support the critical services we provide for our customers. By staying curious about developments in the world of tech, you’ll also have the chance to help create innovative new solutions for our customers.
